(kontumtv.vn) – On the morning of March 19, the People's Committee of Dak Ha district held a ceremony to announce Dak Mar commune meeting the model new rural standards in the field of culture in 2024. Attending were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huu Thap.

Dak Mar commune was established on September 3, 1998 with a total natural area of ​​over 4,500 hectares. The commune has 7 villages with over 1,700 households, including 03 ethnic minority villages. The commune was recognized by the People's Committee of Kon Tum province as meeting new rural standards in 2014 and advanced new rural standards in 2021.

In 2024, Dak Mar commune was selected by the People's Committee of Dak Ha district to build a model new rural commune. The total cost of building a model new rural area in the area is over 5.3 billion VND; of which, the Central Budget is over 4.3 billion VND, the People's contribution is over 1 billion VND. With the participation of the entire political system and the consensus of the People, economic and social infrastructure works continue to be upgraded, meeting the requirements of production and people's development; facilities and cultural institutions, schools, and health care are invested and upgraded; People's lives are improved. As of 2024, the average income per capita of the commune is nearly 67 million VND.

In the cultural field, 100% of the commune's residential areas have invested in building sports areas and community cultural houses; 100% of villages have established and maintained the activities of Intergenerational Self-Help Clubs, regularly organizing cultural, artistic, sports and health exchange activities; there is 01 Folk Culture Club, well organizing activities to teach, preserve and promote national cultural heritage for the young generation.

At the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huu Thap presented the Decision of the Provincial People's Committee recognizing Dak Mar commune as a model new-style rural commune in the cultural field; awarded the Certificate of Merit of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman to the Party Committee, government and people of Dak Mar commune for their outstanding achievements in new-style rural construction./.
