Dak Sak commune strives to achieve advanced new rural standards by 2030

On the morning of July 31, the Dak Sak Commune Party Committee, Lam Dong Province solemnly held the 1st Congress of Delegates, term 2025 - 2030.

Comrade Huynh Ngoc Anh, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee; leaders of agencies, departments, branches, units, localities and 130 official delegates representing 759 party members of the entire Party Committee attended.

The congress has special significance as it is the first congress after Dak Sak commune was established on the basis of merging three communes: Dak Sak, Long Son, Nam Xuan. This is a historical milestone, opening a new development period with many expectations, at the same time, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and high unity within the entire Party Committee and local people.

In the past term, despite many difficulties and challenges, the Party Committee and the people of the merged localities have made efforts to overcome difficulties and achieved many important achievements. The economy continues to maintain stable growth; the economic structure has shifted positively. The total local budget revenue in 5 years is over 122 billion VND; the average income per capita by 2025 will reach 60 million VND/person/year, the poverty rate will decrease to 2.8%. The commune has 132 production establishments, focusing on coffee, wood, and mechanical processing industries, of which the energy industry is an important driving force for economic development.

There has been much progress in the cultural and social fields, the quality of education and health care has been improved; social security has been ensured. The work of building the Party and the political system has had many clear changes; the role of the Fatherland Front and political and social organizations has been increasingly effective. The commune has 32 villages and hamlets, with 49 affiliated Party cells and 759 Party members. The work of social supervision and criticism has been focused on, and grassroots democracy has been promoted.

In the 2025 - 2030 term, the Dak Sak Commune Party Committee determined to focus on building a clean and strong political system; preserving the cultural identity of ethnic groups, ensuring national defense and security; mobilizing all resources to build transport infrastructure, irrigation infrastructure, promoting agricultural development towards organic agriculture, circular agriculture associated with processing industry and product consumption. The whole commune strives to achieve advanced new rural standards by 2030.

Of which, the total state budget revenue in the area will average 8.5% annually, the average income per capita by 2030 compared to 2025 will increase by 12%; the poverty rate according to the multidimensional poverty standard by 2030 will be below 2%.

Every year, the Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front and political and social organizations are classified as having fulfilled their tasks well or better; 90% of grassroots party organizations, affiliated party cells and party members are evaluated and classified as having fulfilled their tasks well or better; the annual rate of new party members is 3%.

Praising the achievements of the Party Committee and People of Dak Sak commune, comrade Huynh Ngoc Anh, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Internal Affairs Committee of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, suggested that in the new context, the commune needs to continue to unite, promote the spirit of initiative and creativity, make good use of the potential of land, resources and geographical location to develop the agricultural economy in a sustainable direction, organic agriculture associated with the processing industry, striving to successfully build an advanced new rural commune by 2030.

Comrade Huynh Ngoc Anh requested the locality to promote digital transformation, build an effective and efficient government; take care of poverty reduction, especially in ethnic minority areas and disadvantaged areas in the commune. Focus on preserving the cultural identity of ethnic groups, especially in ethnic minority areas; improve the quality of education, health care and social services.
