Ke Sat Commune urgently handles locations at risk of serious landslides

In the past 3-4 days, Ke Sat commune (Hai Phong) has had 3 locations at risk of serious landslides in Lai, Phuong Do and Ngoc Mai villages, along Bac Hung Hai canal.

Ke Sat Commune has discovered 3 locations at risk of landslides.

Immediately after discovery, the locality proactively developed a remedial plan according to the "4 on-site" motto.

Mr. Vu Huu Tuan, Chairman of Ke Sat Commune People's Committee, said that the commune has closely coordinated with Bac Hung Hai Irrigation Works Exploitation Company Limited to mobilize human resources, vehicles, and materials, focusing on early handling of landslides. We have deployed pile driving, used bamboo fences combined with sand bags to reinforce the canal banks, ensuring completion before storm No. 3 makes landfall.

The locality has coordinated with Bac Hung Hai Irrigation Works Exploitation One Member Co., Ltd. to urgently reinforce vulnerable locations before the storm makes landfall.

By the afternoon of July 21, the basic weak points had been handled, without affecting the safety of the dike and the lives of residents in the surrounding area. Ke Sat Commune also organized forces to continuously monitor the weak points, to promptly detect and respond if any unusual developments occurred.
