On the afternoon of October 7, the Civil Defense Command of Kien Thiet commune urgently mobilized forces to successfully rescue students trapped in floodwaters and bring them to shore to ensure safety.

Earlier, at around 12 noon the same day, people reported that in Bac Trien village, Kien Thiet commune, a student was trapped in the floodwaters. The Civil Defense Command of Kien Thiet commune urgently mobilized police, militia, and local people to quickly arrive at the scene and organize rescue.

After much effort, at about 1:30 p.m. the same day, the authorities reached and brought the student safely to shore. The student stuck in the floodwaters is currently in grade 9. He was on his way home from school when he was unfortunately swept away by the floodwaters, but managed to cling to a tree branch in the middle of the stream and was discovered and reported by local people. Fortunately, the student was rescued by authorities in time and is in stable health.
