During the 2020 - 2025 term, Pong Drang commune mobilized resources of up to VND 96,810 billion to build and repair the traffic system. Notably, in addition to VND 77,649 billion from the state budget, the locality received VND 19,161 billion in contributions from the people and other mobilized sources, demonstrating the strong spirit of "State and People working together".
A highlight in infrastructure investment is the inter-commune road from Ea Tuk intersection (Cu Pong) to Ea Ngai 1 village (Pong Drang), with a length of 5.48 km and a total cost of more than 14 billion VND, to be completed in 2024. The upgraded road not only creates favorable conditions for trade and transportation of agricultural products but also opens up strategic connections with concentrated production areas, contributing to the formation of inter-commune - inter-regional value chains.

Along with transportation, cultural and sports infrastructure is also prioritized for investment, creating important highlights in the construction of new rural areas in Pong Drang commune. Many community projects have been implemented, typically the old Tan Lap Commune Cultural House with a construction cost of 3.1 billion VND and the old Tan Lap Commune Sports Ground (496 million VND). Even at the village level, the village hall 2 was invested with 206 million VND, of which the people contributed up to 131 million VND.
In particular, the Ea Ngai 8 Village Cultural House was built and put into use in 2025 entirely from socialized sources with a total cost of 800 million VND, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and self-reliance of the people. Accordingly, 200 households in the village contributed funds to buy 440 m² of land and build a 100 m² structure.
Mr. Truong Cong Truong, Head of Ea Ngai 8 village, said that previously, the village did not have a common meeting place, so they had to use the village chief's house to hold meetings. Thanks to the consensus and cooperation of the people, Ea Ngai 8 village now has a spacious and beautiful cultural house, meeting the needs of community activities.
Along with the construction of cultural works, Pong Drang commune has promoted propaganda, training, and technology transfer, contributing to improving people's knowledge and encouraging people to boldly apply scientific and technological advances in production. Pong Drang commune has formed a diversified and effectively operated economy , with the participation of 4 collective economic units: People's Credit Fund and three cooperatives: Tan Lap Dong Agricultural Service Cooperative, Krong Buk Agricultural Service Cooperative, BKF Agricultural and General Service Cooperative. These cooperatives play a key role in linking farmers in the chain, from supplying materials, providing technical support to consuming products, gradually forming concentrated commodity production areas. The private economic sector is on the rise, demonstrated by the number of 172 enterprises and 1,488 business households. The commune has effectively exploited local potential with 5 OCOP products of 4 entities, contributing to enhancing agricultural product brands and consolidating the value chain.

Completing infrastructure and improving economic capacity not only helps Pong Drang commune consolidate the criteria for meeting standards after implementing the two-level local government model, but also creates a foundation for the locality to proactively move forward, aiming to build advanced new rural areas in the 2025 - 2030 term.
According to Chairman of the People's Committee of the commune Phan Hoang Lam, the 1st Party Congress of Pong Drang commune, term 2025 - 2030 clearly determined to take infrastructure as the foundation, economic development as the pillar and people's consensus as the driving force to strive to achieve the standards of an advanced new-style rural commune in the new term. To ensure the set goals, the locality continues to prioritize investment in completing village and alley routes; expanding inter-regional connecting routes to create momentum for socio-economic development. In production, the commune promotes the application of science and technology, replicates the model of linking agricultural product consumption, attracts businesses to industrial clusters, creates more jobs associated with environmental protection; focuses on vocational training, increases the rate of trained workers and supports cooperatives and cooperative groups to operate effectively.
