Van Thang Commune: Mobilizing canoes to urgently evacuate people from flooded areas

On the afternoon of November 19, the leader of the People's Committee of Van Thang commune said that this morning, the Binh Trung village area was deeply flooded, the locality coordinated with the Command of Defense Zone 1 - Ninh Hoa to promptly evacuate households to a safe place.

Canoes were mobilized to evacuate people from flooded areas.

Leaders of the Provincial Military Command and Van Thang commune directly directed rescue and support for people.

People were helped to safety.

Accordingly, the locality and other forces mobilized 3 canoes with nearly 50 officers, soldiers, and militiamen to the above-mentioned village area to bring about 40 people to safe shelter at the commune Party Committee headquarters. Although the water has shown signs of receding, many areas are still deeply flooded, and the commune forces are continuing to monitor, block, and be ready to respond when situations arise.
