Identifying the 22 players coach Kim Sang Sik selected to face Man Utd

Right after the final Premier League match against Aston Villa, Man Utd immediately flew to Malaysia to attend a friendly match with the Southeast Asian All-Star team on May 28.

In the past few days, the last two teams, the Philippines and Australia, have sent representatives to the Southeast Asian All-Stars squad. Accordingly, the two Filipino players summoned are striker Sandro Reyes and defender Amani Aguinaldo.

Sandro Reyes was born in 2003 and currently plays for Gutersloh Club in Germany. He started playing for the Philippine national team in 2021. So far, this striker has scored 4 goals for the national team. Meanwhile, Amani Aguinaldo was born in 1995. He has been a key central defender for the Philippines in recent years.

"With what they have shown in the Philippine national team, the two players Reyes and Aguinaldo deserve to be in the Southeast Asian All-Star team of coach Kim Sang Sik," commented Asean Football newspaper.

Australia is the last team to send a player to the Southeast Asian All-Star team. The player selected is center back Harrison Delbridge. This player plays for Incheon Club in the Korean second division. In the past, Harrison Delbridge only played for the Australian team once in 2022.

Asean Football commented: "The presence of Harrison Delbridge, a strong and experienced player in defence, will increase the stability of the Southeast Asian All-Stars team when facing Man Utd".

On the other hand, two players Peeradol Chamrasamee (Thailand) and Asnawi Mangkualam (Indonesia) have withdrawn. Peeradol Chamrasamee is absent for personal reasons. His wife has just given birth and must stay in Thailand to take care of her. Meanwhile, Asnawi Mangkualam has been called up to the Indonesian team to prepare for two important matches against Japan and China in the third qualifying round of the 2024 World Cup.

So far, fans have identified 22 Southeast Asian players to face Man Utd. Malaysia is the team that contributes the most players to the Southeast Asian All-Stars team with 5 players. They are Azam Azmi Murad, Adib Abdul Ra'op, Haziq Nadzli, Declan Lambert and Sergio Aguero. All 5 of these players are not on the list of the Malaysian team to participate in the match against the Vietnamese team in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers taking place on June 10.

The Vietnamese team contributed 4 players: Hoang Duc, Van Vi, Duy Manh, Hai Long. Next is Thailand with 3 players: Worachit Kanitsribampen, Ben Davis, Patiwat Khammai.
