The 17th Congress of the Lang Son Provincial Military Party Committee is an important political event, taking place after completing the arrangement of the two-level local government organization and adjusting the organization and staffing of local military agencies.
This is also an opportunity for officers and soldiers of Lang Son province's armed forces to compete to achieve achievements in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2; welcome the 16th Congress of the Party Committee of Military Region 1, the 18th Congress of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.
During the past term, the Lang Son Provincial Military Party Committee thoroughly grasped the Resolutions, Directives, and Conclusions of the Party, State, Central Military Commission, Military Region, Provincial Party Committee, and Provincial People's Committee, thereby focusing on comprehensive leadership and direction, basically completing the targets and tasks set forth by the Resolution of the 16th Provincial Military Party Congress.
The Lang Son Provincial Military Party Committee always proactively advises the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to lead and direct the people of all ethnic groups in the province to build a national defense, build defense zones; maintain political stability, and firmly protect the national border in the area.
In addition, the Lang Son Provincial Military Party Committee focuses on leadership and direction in building strong and comprehensive agencies and units; the overall quality and combat readiness of the provincial armed forces are improved.
Party work, political work, and logistics-technical work meet the requirements of the tasks, thereby enhancing the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization and the exemplary vanguard role of cadres and Party members; internal solidarity and unity are always maintained.
Cadres and soldiers of the provincial armed forces have good political courage, professional capacity and moral qualities; are absolutely loyal and trust in the leadership of the Party and the socialist regime.
Attending and directing the Congress, Major General Do Van Tuan, member of the Party Executive Committee, Deputy Commander of Military Region 1, requested the Military Party Committee of Lang Son province to focus on building a clean and strong Party Committee, closely linked to doing a good job of disseminating and seriously implementing the Resolutions and Conclusions of the Central Committee, Provincial Party Committee and the Resolution of the Military Region Party Committee on Party building work.
The Party Committee needs to continue to lead, thoroughly educate and help cadres and soldiers in the provincial armed forces to grasp the basic issues of the Party's guidelines and viewpoints on military and national defense, especially the Resolution of the 8th Central Committee (13th tenure) on the Strategy for protecting the Fatherland in the new situation, grasp the tasks of the Army, Military Regions and the tasks of national defense, military and border protection of the province; build cadres and soldiers with steadfast political will, always have absolute trust in the leadership of the Party;
At the same time, the Deputy Commander of Military Region 1 also requested the Lang Son Provincial Military Party Committee to continue to lead and perform well the task of advising the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee on military, national defense, and border work; build a solid national defense and border defense, regularly grasp, forecast, and accurately assess the situation in the province, focusing on the border area, promptly advise on handling situations right from the grassroots level, not allowing hot spots to occur; build a peaceful, friendly, cooperative, and developing border.
The Congress elected 19 comrades to the Executive Committee of the Military Party Committee of Lang Son province, term XVII, 2025-2030; elected a delegation to attend the 18th Congress of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, including 21 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates.
At the first conference, the new Executive Committee of the Lang Son Provincial Military Party Committee elected the Standing Committee, Deputy Secretary, Inspection Committee and Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Lang Son Provincial Military Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
In the 2025-2030 term, the Lang Son Provincial Military Party Committee sets out 3 breakthroughs:
1. Improve the quality of staff work of agencies and activities of Regional Defense Commands and Commune-level Military Commands in carrying out local defense and military work.
2. Improve overall quality, combat readiness, and promptly handle situations and incidents on the border and in the area to avoid being passive or surprised.
3. Promote the application of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation in the provincial armed forces.
