According to Mr. Mai, in recent years, the border situation between the two countries has been maintained and ensured to be stable. The functional forces of the two countries regularly exchange, grasp information, and coordinate to resolve border issues promptly and effectively such as: preventing and promptly handling violations of border regulations, preventing and combating cross-border crimes. Especially drug crimes, inciting, enticing and illegally bringing people across the border.

"The world and regional situation continues to evolve rapidly and complicatedly; the trend of peace, cooperation and development faces many challenges," Mr. Mai emphasized.
Mr. Mai also said that the domestic political, economic and social situation is stable, the foreign affairs of the Party, State and people's diplomacy continue to be maintained and promoted, the prestige and position of the country are constantly improving.
However, hostile forces continue to thoroughly exploit issues of national border sovereignty, ethnicity, and religion to propagate distortions and fabrications to sabotage Vietnam and divide the traditional friendship between Vietnam and neighboring countries.
The Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department emphasized that in that context, all levels, sectors and localities in border areas need to continue to innovate and diversify the content and forms of propaganda, increase the application of information technology, digital transformation, focus on propaganda in the languages of ethnic groups living in border areas and foreign propaganda on border work on land.
To maintain a peaceful, stable and sustainably developed border, according to Mr. Mai, it is necessary to innovate the method of participating in building a strong, comprehensive and in-depth border, especially in grasping the local situation and promoting the mass movement to protect the border and landmarks.
Besides, Mr. Mai also said that it is necessary to further promote the positive results achieved in implementing tasks, ensuring close, timely, multi-dimensional and comprehensive coordination between forces in propaganda and education.

"This model is meaningful and brings practical results in many aspects, in which the outstanding result is that political security, order and social safety in border areas are maintained," said Mr. Triet.
He emphasized that through this special people-to-people exchange activity, the communities on both sides of the border not only have the opportunity to build and strengthen close and familiar relationships but can also share and help each other in socio-economic development.
