According to Vietnam National Defense Television, at the acceptance ceremony, delegates watched units such as Factory Z113, Military Technical Academy, Military Environmental Chemistry Institute, Factory Z129 test fake symbolic explosives and practice grenades for students in the field. How modern is the XCB-01 infantry fighting vehicle?

XCB-01 is a modern weapon system, integrating technology from more than 30 military engineering specialties with the mission of being a mobile infantry fighting vehicle, capable of attacking and destroying important enemy targets. The crew consists of 3 people: commander, driver, gunner and can carry 8 infantry.

This is a product designed and manufactured by the General Department of Defense Industry of Vietnam. The vehicle weighs about 15 tons, with overall dimensions larger than the BMP-1 model produced by the Soviet Union.

The XCB-01 is equipped with a 73 mm main gun with 40 rounds, a 7.62 mm PTK parallel machine gun with 2,000 rounds, and a 12.7 mm anti-aircraft machine gun on the turret roof with 200 rounds.

The car has a maximum speed of 65 km/h, swimming speed of 7 km/h with a 300 horsepower engine. The car can climb 30 degree slopes, overcoming many different terrains.

The XCB-01 is equipped with B72 anti-tank missiles integrated into a fixed launcher on the vehicle's main gun. With a sloped armor design on the front hemisphere, the vehicle can withstand most standard or heavy direct-fire ammunition.

In addition, the XCB-01 also has a laser irradiation detection and warning system synchronized with a smoke grenade launcher on the turret.

When detecting a locked target, the vehicle immediately turns the gun barrel towards the target and fires, creating a smoke screen to camouflage against lasers and infrared, helping to hide and quickly get out of the danger zone.
