At noon on June 21, after transferring a patient from Tien Giang General Hospital to a hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, Nguyen Thanh Tra (charity ambulance driver) drove on the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong highway towards the West.
When arriving at Km15, in Ben Luc district, Long An , Mr. Tra discovered a man over 50 years old walking a motorbike with license plate 93FA - 7124 on the emergency lane.
Charity ambulance took Mr. H. and his motorbike off the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong highway.
Seeing the danger to the person pushing the motorbike as well as other vehicles on the road, Mr. Tra stopped his car in the emergency lane to ask and learned that the man named CNH was going to Binh Duong . Because he was not familiar with the road, Mr. H. got lost on the highway and headed towards the West. While driving on the road, the car ran out of gas and had to push it on foot.
At this time, Mr. Tra put the motorbike and Mr. H. on the ambulance to take them to Ben Luc intersection. When exiting the highway, Mr. Tra's ambulance stopped at a roadside gas station to fill up Mr. H's motorbike's gas tank.
