Along with the world market, the iPhone 17 and Air series will be available to Vietnamese users at 8am on September 19. However, since last night, many people have come to the opening sale area of some dealers to wait in line. The driving force behind this is the iPhone 17 Pro Max, Apple's most premium phone model this year with a starting price of 38 million VND. While online systems were "sold out" just a few minutes after opening deposits on September 12, lining up early is an opportunity for these people to buy the device.

The iPhone 17 Pro starts at VND35 million, the 17 Pro Max from VND38 million, VND3-4 million higher than last year. All 2025 iPhones have a minimum memory of 256 GB, 120 Hz screen. In addition, Apple added a 2 TB version for the 17 Pro Max, making it the most expensive genuine iPhone ever, priced at VND64 million. Despite the higher price, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is still the most sought-after model in this first batch.

In Hanoi, ShopDunk is one of Apple's authorized dealers that opened a program to sell to people who lined up early, but the number of devices was not much. Since the night, many young people were present at the store at Aeon Mall Long Bien to wait to register to buy and become the first to own the new iPhone.

However, a few markets with positive sales are still in Apple's priority list. Over the past years, iPhone sales on the first day have continuously increased sharply, making Vietnam the most important market for Apple in Southeast Asia.

Inside the Mobile World store, a series of devices are stacked up to prepare for delivery to buyers. The four new iPhones launched on September 9 have many changes in hardware. Typically, the appearance of the iPhone Air with a measurement of 5.6 mm, is Apple's thinnest phone ever and thinner than the 5.8 mm of the Galaxy S25 Edge. The frame is made of titanium with a glossy finish, Ceramic Shield 2 coating that is scratch-resistant and crack-resistant on both sides of the device. Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max duo have changed dramatically in appearance with a large camera cluster, using an aluminum shell and better heat dissipation, while the iPhone 17 retains the appearance of the previous generation, but upgrades the screen to 120 Hz, Apple A19 processor chip.

From 8am, people lined up to enter the experience area and receive the device. Tuan Anh (HCMC) arrived early in the morning and was one of the first to buy the orange iPhone 17 Pro Max. He said he upgrades to a new iPhone every year. "I usually choose Pro Max because the camera is better, the battery is bigger and it can meet the requirements of my work," he said.
