In May 2025, to practically celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, it is expected that 6 more localities will complete the program, including Son La, Ha Tinh, Binh Dinh, Ninh Thuan, Long An and Hoa Binh.
In June 2025, it is expected that 16 more localities will complete the Program, including: Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Bac Giang, Hai Duong, Thai Binh, Binh Thuan, Kon Tum, Binh Duong, Tien Giang, Ben Tre, Soc Trang, An Giang, Ca Mau, Ha Giang, Ha Nam, Lai Chau.
However, according to the representative of the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, from now until October 31, 2025, there are still about 61,800 temporary and dilapidated houses that need to be removed... On average, about 364 houses must be completed every day nationwide; on average, each locality must complete 8 houses/day.
Among the target groups, the group of near-poor households under the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, which is not included in the target program, not included in the source of meritorious people, and is the most difficult group, has the highest completion rate, reaching 80% nationwide.
Regarding support for families of meritorious people, although the Central Government has not yet provided financial support, many localities have tried to advance or mobilize funds to eliminate 50.79%.
The group of beneficiaries receiving housing support under the two national target programs reached an average of 68%, while the poverty reduction program was more difficult, reaching only 52%.
Regarding the socialization of resources, according to reports from localities, more than 1,807 billion VND has been mobilized; contributions from households were 1,074 billion VND.
In addition, localities also mobilized 321,000 working days, 660 tons of cement, 500 cubic meters of stone, 310,000 bricks, 150 cubic meters of foundation sand, and 3,000 tiles.
In particular, in this activity, the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of National Defense participated very effectively. Some units had difficulties and problems with land, but by now they have basically been resolved.
