Stirring up the case of a cyclo driver who acted "unsightly" towards a female tourist

(Dan Tri) - Leaders of Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province have directed specialized agencies to verify information about a local cyclo driver who is accused of snatching money from a female foreign tourist.

On the evening of May 31, Mr. Nguyen Van Minh, Vice Chairman of Nha Trang City People's Committee, said that he had received information about the case of a local cyclo driver who was accused of snatching money from a female foreign tourist and directed specialized agencies to verify and handle it according to regulations.

Earlier, in the afternoon of the same day, content was spread on Facebook claiming that the cyclo driver had behaved in an uncivilized manner towards a female tourist, affecting the image of Nha Trang tourism .

Attached to the content is a nearly 30-second clip, recording the scene of a cyclo driver carrying a foreign female tourist and a little girl. Upon arrival, the female tourist hands over 2 bills, after which a conflict and argument breaks out between the cyclo driver and the customer.

During the argument, the man snatched two bills from the female tourist’s hand. Seeing the cyclo driver acting aggressively, the female tourist quickly took the girl’s hand and left.

In the comments section of the clip, many people said that the cyclo driver had behaved inappropriately towards the tourists. Many suggested that the local authorities intervene to rectify the situation.

"So disappointed, I know it's a daily bread but you did that, I myself can't accept it," commented a Facebook account.

Previously, in Nha Trang city, there were many cases of tourists being assaulted and charged unreasonable fees. Upon receiving the complaints, the city's authorities have stepped in to clarify and handle the cases according to regulations.

Khanh Hoa province's tourism industry recommends that when tourists come to this province for sightseeing or entertainment, if they discover anything unusual in the use of services, they should immediately call the hotline 0947.528.000 for support and resolution.
