Specifically, the incident occurred on the afternoon of June 8 at a level crossing with an automatic barrier installed at Km DS 10+400, Van Dien - Thuong Tin section, Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City railway line (in Vinh Quynh commune, Thanh Tri district, Hanoi).

At that time, the 16-seat passenger bus with license plate 29F-023.XX crossed the level crossing when the red light was on, causing damage to the level crossing barrier. Discovering the dangerous behavior of the bus driver, the barrier guard stopped him and asked him to move the vehicle away from the dangerous area, ensuring that the train could continue its journey safely and avoid any unfortunate collisions.
Traffic police work with violating drivers
Upon receiving information about the incident, the Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police directed Traffic Police Team No. 14 to investigate the driver involved, PXT (born in 1989; residing in Thanh Tri district, Hanoi).
Based on the verification documents, Traffic Police Team No. 14 has drawn up an administrative violation report against the passenger bus driver for the following acts: driving the vehicle through the level crossing when the red light is on and causing damage to the level crossing barrier.
According to current regulations, violators will be fined a total of VND11 million, have their driver's license revoked for 3 months, and be forced to restore the original condition of the barrier device damaged by the violation.
The Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police recommends that drivers absolutely comply with regulations when crossing the level crossing; do not cross the level crossing when the red light is on or when the road is closed. This is a dangerous behavior, with the potential for extremely serious accidents. Violators will be strictly handled according to the law.
