During the first 1-2 weeks, doctors aim to control pain, activate the neuromuscular system, restore mobility, and prevent complications. The next phases focus on strengthening, improving range of motion, balance, and physical preparation.
"After 6 months of maximum intensity training and meeting standards, Son will be allowed to compete again," said Dr. Thang.
The biggest challenge in Xuan Son's case is the transition from high-intensity activity to a state of injury, forcing him to limit his movements. This not only affects his physical but also his mental health, requiring close coordination between specialists such as nutrition, psychology, rehabilitation, surgery, along with understanding and strict adherence to the treatment regimen.
“After surgery, Son needs to follow a scientific exercise regimen, including controlling time and weight bearing level to maintain physical strength and promote effective bone healing,” said Dr. Thang.
