Bao Thuan builds great solidarity from residential areas

The spirit of solidarity among ethnic groups and religions contributes to creating internal strength to develop Bao Thuan commune.

People join hands for the community

Bao Thuan commune currently has 31 villages, of which 15 are home to ethnic minorities such as K'ho, Nung, Muong, Hoa... With the coordination of the Fatherland Front and organizations, patriotic emulation movements and large-scale campaigns have penetrated deeply into the lives of each hamlet and each household. Notably, the movement to build "Model residential areas" and "Typical residential areas" has been recognized. The whole commune currently has 17/31 model residential areas (55%) and 21/31 typical residential areas (68%). These models have created a cohesive environment, preserved traditional culture and ensured security and order in the locality.

The movement "Eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" has also been strongly implemented by Bao Thuan commune. In the period of 2024 - 2025, the commune mobilized nearly 1.5 billion VND to build and repair dozens of houses for poor and near-poor households. People also donated more than 2,000 ^m2 of land, contributed 1.2 billion VND and many working days to build rural roads, and launched "Saturdays for the new countryside". Thanks to that, the face of the countryside is increasingly brighter - greener - cleaner - more beautiful, with spacious infrastructure, creating favorable conditions for production and daily life of the people. Clean roads, colorful flower fences, and solid roofs replacing temporary and dilapidated houses are the clearest proof of this change.

Ms. Le Thi Dao Loan - Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bao Thuan commune said: "Patriotic emulation movements are widely deployed, associated with each organization, suitable for each subject. From the trade union, farmers' association, women's association, veterans' association to the youth union, all have practical movements. From there, not only gradually changing the appearance of the local countryside, but also contributing to building families and communities that are increasingly prosperous and happy."

In addition, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Bao Thuan commune also closely coordinates with the government and member organizations to take care of social security. From the beginning of 2024 to mid-2025 alone, the commune has mobilized more than 272 million VND for the Fund for the Poor. At the same time, it has supported the construction and repair of houses, awarded more than 120 scholarships to poor students, helped patients with serious illnesses and given hundreds of gifts to disadvantaged households.

The bond from the base

In Bao Thuan commune, the role of the village Front working committee is clearly promoted. In Kao Kuyl village, with 400 households living mainly on coffee, rice and fruit trees, the spirit of community solidarity is always put first.

Mr. K'Êm has been working as the Head of the Front Committee of Kao Kuyl village for 12 years, sharing: “Our daily work is to visit and grasp the situation of the people, propagate the Party's guidelines and the State's policies. To make people listen and follow, we always coordinate with organizations, parishes, and prestigious people, and mobilize with sincerity and closeness. People are used to supporting each other, from building houses, making roads, to visiting the sick. Thanks to that, life in the village is increasingly prosperous, the number of poor households has decreased significantly.”

Meanwhile, Ms. K'Bien, Head of the Youth Front Working Committee of Bao Tuan village (with 208 households and more than 800 people), said: "We always try to be close to the people, understand the people to mobilize. Whatever we say comes from love and meaning. At the same time, we innovate the way of mobilizing so that people understand, especially building a civilized lifestyle and preserving traditional culture."

From each residential area, the spirit of solidarity and sharing has spread, helping the locality not only stabilize and develop but also strengthen the people's trust in the Party and the State. With 60% of the population being religious followers, the spirit of "living a good life, living a good religion" has further enriched the picture of great solidarity here.

In addition, the community supervision board and the people's inspection board of the villages also participate in supervising many infrastructure projects, ensuring publicity and transparency. Small conflicts in life are resolved by mediation teams right at the grassroots level, maintaining the village spirit. The spirit of "people know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people benefit" has become the driving force for the people to agree and stick together, making Bao Thuan commune develop more and more.
