Xuan Truong confirmed his departure from Ha Tinh in a video he posted on the morning of June 25. In the 12-minute video, the player from Tuyen Quang sent his thanks to coach Nguyen Thanh Cong, the leaders, coaching staff, team and fans of the Hong Mountain team.
“I have a wish to move to another club next season, and I have talked to coach Nguyen Thanh Cong. I would like to take this opportunity to thank coach Nguyen Thanh Cong for fulfilling this wish. The reason is certainly not related to professional issues, or relationships with everyone here,” Xuan Truong said about the reason for leaving Ha Tinh.
For the former HAGL star, Ha Tinh is one of the few teams in V.League with such a professional working environment and team. Xuan Truong feels lucky to work with coach Nguyen Thanh Cong, and it is thanks to Ha Tinh that he found the joy of playing football again.
In his career, Truong never thought he would have the opportunity to work with all the people here, especially the opportunity to compete with his senior Trong Hoang.
“There are many brothers in the team that I knew and got to know before, I am very lucky to have the opportunity to work with everyone. I think that this year I have done many good things, including the brothers who have not played much, although they have not played much, everyone still maintained their fighting spirit until the last match. That created the success of the team, helped the team select a quality squad and have such good results”, the player born in 1995 said about his journey with Ha Tinh in the past season.

As for coach Nguyen Thanh Cong, he regrets having to say goodbye to his student. He hopes Xuan Truong will achieve success at the new team.
“Honestly, every player here is very good. If you don’t create conditions for Xuan Truong, it’s no different than making things difficult for Truong. Because we understand who will play the best, most comfortably and have the clearest goals. So everyone supports him, just hoping for the best things to come to Truong,” Coach Nguyen Thanh Cong expressed.
Luong Xuan Truong joined Ha Tinh from phase 2 of the 2023/24 season on loan from Hai Phong. Although he is no longer at his peak, the player who grew up at HAGL still plays well when given the opportunity. This season, Xuan Truong has played consistently, helping Ha Tinh successfully finish in 5th place.
Xuan Truong's new destination is said to be Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc. The Southeast team has great ambitions and is only one win away from V.League when they play a play-off with Da Nang on the afternoon of June 27.
