The Drug Administration Department ( Ministry of Health ) has issued a warning about counterfeit Cephalexin 500mg antibiotics appearing on the market, requesting tracing the source and handling violations. The counterfeit Cephalexin 500mg antibiotics are manufactured by Cuu Long Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company, Vinh Long City, batch number 04310322; production date: March 31, 2022; expiry date: February 31, 2025, VD-25166-17.

Cephalexin 500mg is a prescription drug indicated for the treatment of infections caused by susceptible bacteria, such as: acute and chronic bronchitis, infected bronchiectasis; otitis media, ear-nose-throat infections, sinusitis, mastoiditis, pharyngitis; skin and soft tissue infections; bone and joint infections, etc.
