The meaning of the program of coast guard accompanying fishermen

On the morning of July 17, Squadron 102 - Coast Guard Region 1 Command coordinated with Dan Hai commune to organize the program "Coast Guard accompanies fishermen". At the program, fishermen were informed about the law on seas and islands, the Law on Vietnam Coast Guard, the Law on Fisheries, regulations on combating illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing, preventing drug crimes and maintaining security, order and safety at sea... Through this activity, we aim to raise legal awareness, promote civic responsibility, build awareness of sustainable and legal seafood exploitation, and contribute to the country's efforts to remove the IUU "yellow card" of the European Commission (EC). At Xuan Hoi Fishing Port, the delegation presented 100 national flags to fishermen.
On this occasion, the Command of Coast Guard Region 1 also presented 70 gifts (each gift includes gifts and money with a total value of 1 million VND) to policy families, poor households, near-poor households and students with difficult circumstances who have overcome difficulties to study well in the commune. This is an activity of profound humanitarian significance, contributing to strengthening military-civilian solidarity, joining hands to protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland. Previously, Squadron 102 - Coast Guard Region 1 Command organized many meaningful activities on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025) to spread the spirit of "Drinking water, remembering its source", "Repaying gratitude" to heroic martyrs. Soldiers installed a solar lighting system at 5 memorials to heroic martyrs in Nghi Xuan commune, worth 40 million VND. More than 100 officers, soldiers and youth union members cleaned up the grounds at the Martyrs Cemetery of Dan Hai commune. Also on this occasion, Squadron 102 visited and presented 10 gifts (each worth 500,000 VND) to policy families in Tien Dien commune.
