Yen Bai - On the morning of April 4, the People's Committee of Yen Bai province held a conference to evaluate the results of socio -economic development tasks in the first 3 months of the year, and deploy tasks for April and the second quarter of 2025.

In the first quarter of 2025, the province's socio-economic situation continued to achieve positive results. Many important economic indicators achieved high growth rates compared to the growth scenario and the same period, such as: GRDP growth rate is estimated at 9.58%, ranking 5th out of 14 provinces in the region, ranking 12th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide. Industrial production value reached 4,540 billion VND, equal to 107.1% of the growth scenario and 113% over the same period. Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue reached over 8,450 billion VND, equal to 104.6% of the growth scenario and 121.3% over the same period.

The export value of goods reached over 120 million USD, equal to 100% of the growth scenario and 125% compared to the same period. The number of tourists reached over 742 thousand, equal to 195.4% of the growth scenario and 107.1% compared to the same period. The state budget revenue in the area reached over 1,339 billion VND, equal to 141.4% of the growth scenario and 175.6% compared to the same period.

Implementing the Project to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, as of April 4, the province has started construction on 2,174 houses, reaching 98.4% of the plan, of which 830 houses have been completed. Vocational training and job creation have been promoted, of which jobs have been created for over 5,100 workers, equal to 106.7% of the first quarter growth scenario. The quality ofeducation and training, and people's health care continue to be improved.

Social security work, policies and regimes for policy beneficiaries, social protection beneficiaries and workers are implemented fully, promptly and in accordance with regulations. Political security and social order and safety in the province are maintained and ensured. The work of reorganizing the apparatus is implemented synchronously by the province.

At the Conference, leaders of the sectors reported the results of reviewing assigned tasks; progress and results of implementing tasks according to the conclusions of the Provincial Party Committee and the conclusions of the leaders of the People's Committee.

Regarding the key tasks in April and the second quarter of 2025, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that sectors and localities continue to seriously, drastically, flexibly, synchronously, promptly and effectively implement the groups of tasks and solutions for socio-economic development in 2025 according to the Resolution of the Government; Action Program No. 246 of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee and Action Program No. 02 of the Provincial People's Committee.
