Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Quynh - Captain of Market Management Team No. 5 under the Market Management Department of Yen Bai province said that on May 8, through patrolling and controlling on National Highway 70, Road Traffic Police Team No. 3, Traffic Police Department, Yen Bai Provincial Police coordinated with Market Management Team No. 5 to discover a truck carrying a large quantity of goods of unknown origin.
At the time of inspection, the authorities discovered that the truck 24C-073.84 driven by Mr. Do Van Tuan (residing in Kim Tan Ward, Lao Cai City, Lao Cai Province) had many carefully packaged packages on board.
Through counting, there were 7,000 used women's skirts, many of which were made in China. Initial determination was that all of the above goods did not have invoices or documents proving their origin.
Market Management Team No. 5 has temporarily detained all of the above goods to continue verifying related details and have grounds to handle them according to the provisions of law.
