Yen Mo strives to build a district that meets advanced new rural standards by 2024

On January 11, Yen Mo District People's Committee held a conference to summarize the work in 2023; deploy key tasks in 2024 and launch the patriotic emulation movement in 2024.

In 2023, in the context of the general difficulties of the world, the country and the province, the People's Committee of Yen Mo district closely followed the leadership and direction of the province, the District Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, solidarity and responsibility in the direction and administration, proactively overcame difficulties, promoted patriotic emulation movements and achieved important results in all fields. Completed 10/11 main targets on socio -economic development in 2023, of which 7 targets exceeded the set plan.

The district has 20 more villages and hamlets meeting the standards of model new rural residential areas (exceeding the plan by 6 villages and hamlets); Yen Nhan, Yen Thai, and Yen Lam communes have completed the task of building advanced, model new rural communes.

Administrative reform and digital transformation have had positive changes. Culture and society have made many advances, social security has been ensured, people's lives have been stable, the poverty rate has decreased to 2%, exceeding the set plan. During the year, the district has supported nearly 10 billion VND to repair and build new houses for 116 poor households (repairing 15 houses, building 101 new houses), including 80 houses according to Resolution No. 43 of the Provincial People's Council and 36 houses from socialized sources. Political security, social order and safety have been maintained, the district continues to successfully complete local defense and military tasks.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Cao Truong Son, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Yen Mo District Party Committee emphasized: 2024 is the fourth year that the Party Committee and people of Yen Mo district have implemented the Resolution of the 18th District Party Congress with many particularly important tasks, the year the district strives to build up to the standards of an advanced new rural district, organize the 30th anniversary of the re-establishment of the district, deploy the work of arranging commune-level administrative units, carry out site clearance for key projects such as the Ninh Binh- Hai Phong expressway project, the East-West route... Therefore, Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, agencies and units from the district to the grassroots level and each cadre, party member, civil servant, public employee and worker need to focus on effectively implementing the tasks and solutions set out, determined to successfully carry out the political tasks in 2024.

Along with that, all levels, sectors, agencies and units need to promptly set out targets for the whole year, for each period, and for each specific task associated with socio-economic development tasks, ensuring national defense and security; focusing on discovering and replicating advanced models, creating a widespread influence throughout society, promoting the overall development of the district.

On the same morning, Yen Mo District People's Committee held a ceremony to launch the patriotic emulation movement in 2024. At the launching ceremony, comrade Dang Thai Son, Chairman of Yen Mo District People's Committee, Chairman of the District Emulation and Reward Council, called on all cadres, civil servants, public employees, armed forces and people in the district to promote the achievements in the patriotic emulation movement in 2023, overcome difficulties, unite, strive to achieve more achievements, contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic development goals and tasks in 2024. In which, focusing on launching the emulation movement to achieve the highest achievements to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the re-establishment of Yen Mo district (September 1, 1994 - September 1, 2024) and to celebrate the district achieving advanced new rural standards in 2024.
