1,500 billion VND to build 2 aircraft maintenance facilities at Long Thanh airport

The Ministry of Construction has just announced that the investment project to build and operate aircraft maintenance services No. 3 and No. 4 at Long Thanh International Airport has a total investment of more than 1,500 billion VND.

The project aims to form a modern aircraft maintenance complex to serve domestic airlines, ensuring national interests and requirements for phase 1 exploitation of Long Thanh airport.

The project is designed to simultaneously maintain at least 2 code E aircraft (wingspan from 52m to 65m); 4 code C aircraft (wingspan from 36m to 52m).

Construction items include operator house, equipment system, synchronous technical infrastructure and auxiliary works.

The expected construction investment period is in the period 2025 - 2026, and exploitation until December 31, 2050.

The selection of investors will be carried out on a case-by-case basis. The Ministry of Construction assigned the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to prepare, appraise and approve the dossier to ensure the selection of the right investor with capacity, experience and appropriate solutions to effectively implement the project.
