Ms. Tran Thi Hien Minh, Vice President of the Saigon Professional Chefs Association, Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association, said that making 100 dishes from rice noodles is an effort to recognize traditional values through familiar dishes. Each dish is made by experienced artisans and chefs, ensuring to preserve the spirit of regional cuisine but still have creativity suitable for modern trends.
According to Ms. Tran Thi Hien Minh, setting the record of 100 dishes not only honors the value of rice, an ingredient that has long been associated with Vietnamese life, but also affirms the processing level, technique and unique identity of Vietnamese chefs. Setting this record is an important first step to help elevate Vietnamese cuisine on the international map, while inspiring the younger generation to continue to be creative while still preserving the traditional spirit.
