
Tam Thang Tower - the highlight of the square is an architectural work created to become a symbol, a new identity mark of Vung Tau. The tower consists of 143 pillars, with heights ranging from 4.55m to 34.25m, arranged in increasing height towards the sea.
The overall shape of Tam Thang tower is inspired by the image of three strong boat heads, rising high in the vast space, recreating the historical story of the three villages Thang Nhat, Thang Nhi and Thang Tam.
Besides the inspiring structure created from reinforced concrete pillars, Tam Thang Tower also has a special visual effect thanks to the mosaic ceramic tile surface, reflecting shimmering light when lights or sunlight shine on it.
At night, Tam Thang Tower becomes splendid in colorful LED lights, creating a magical artistic space. Columns of different sizes, heights and lows are arranged to create interesting lighting effects.
The designer of this special project is Italian architect Oliviero Godi and his colleagues. The design was selected by the city's architectural council, within the framework of the Tam Thang Square design idea competition sponsored by Sun Group . At the same time, Sun Group is also the sponsor of the construction and construction of the project for the locality, aiming to create a highlight for the potential coastal area of Vung Tau.
Under the close supervision of a team of engineers and experts, the construction process is carried out with high precision and strict requirements in construction.
The total weight of the cylinders is up to thousands of tons, of which the tallest cylinder weighs 104 tons. The project is completed with elaborate mosaic details. In particular, the installation of the artistic LED lighting system also requires almost absolute precision to create special lighting effects.
Not only impressive by Tam Thang Tower, Tam Thang Square is also designed as a multi-purpose community space, serving the entertainment, cultural and tourism needs in the Back Beach area.
The highest point of the project is Mui Vong Canh - about 3.6m above the square ground, opening up a beautiful panoramic view of the entire coastal city. Below Mui Vong Canh is a semi-basement space with an area of nearly 450m², arranged with convenient functions as a check-in place, a coffee shop and a refreshment area... bringing a variety of entertainment experiences to visitors.
On a completed area of over 17,000m2 on the seafront, Tam Thang Square also integrates a water music stage of up to 5,800m², along with a stage divided into steps where large-scale events and festivals in Vung Tau will take place. The shallow fountains arranged on the street front area with an area of about 665m² also create a lively and colorful space.
