12,000 people practice military parade on the streets of Dien Bien

The Military Flag Block, commanded by Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Binh, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, led blocks representing the People's Army and Militia forces across the stage.

This morning's joint training session was chaired by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army and Deputy Minister of National Defense. The total number of participants in the parade was 12,000.

The parade to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory is expected to be held on the morning of May 7 at Dien Bien Provincial Stadium, with the participation of Artillery forces; Air Force; Parade and Marching forces; Forces creating background on the field; and Forces forming shapes and letters.
