Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry issues formula for converting admission scores

The minimum quality standards for admission to Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry are as follows:

- General program: 18 points.

- English language enhancement program: 17 points.

For the Law group of majors (including the regular program and the enhanced English program): 18 points (with a minimum score of 6 points in Literature or Mathematics for combinations containing only one of these subjects; a minimum score of 6 points in both Literature and Mathematics if the combination includes both Literature and Mathematics).

For the Pharmacy major, the minimum entrance quality threshold is set according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (as announced on the morning of July 22nd, this threshold is 19 points).

The minimum quality assurance threshold for admission is the total score of the three subjects in the admission test combination (without weighting and before adding priority points).

Based on the analysis of students' cumulative academic performance, the admission score distribution of various admission methods over the past two years (including: results of the High School Graduation Examination, high school transcripts, and the aptitude test organized by the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City), and combined with data from the 2025 High School Graduation Examination, the university has developed a correlation function to convert admission scores between different admission methods.

The conversion aims to ensure consistency in input quality between methods, thereby providing a basis for determining the corresponding admission scores for each method in 2025.

- The equivalent conversion function between the admission score based on the 2025 High School Graduation Exam and the admission score based on 12th-grade high school academic results combined with outstanding achievements (if any):

- Function to convert admission scores based on the results of the National University of Ho Chi Minh City's competency assessment exam in 2025 to a 30-point scale:

In there:

+ X is the admission score based on the results of the Aptitude Test organized by the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City in 2025 (on a scale of 1,200);

+ Y is the admission score based on the results of the Aptitude Test organized by the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City in 2025, converted to a 30-point scale.

This year, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry is recruiting over 10,000 students through four admission methods: Direct admission, as regulated by the Ministry of Education and Training; Admission using the results of the 2025 National University of Ho Chi Minh City's competency assessment exam; Admission using the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam; and Admission using high school academic results from grade 12 combined with outstanding achievements (if any).
