The ceremony concluded with the awarding of the Phan Ngoc Hien Literature and Art Prize to 14 outstanding works.

On the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the revolutionary tradition of the Party Committee, army and people of Ca Mau province (December 13, 1940 - December 13, 2025), on the afternoon of December 12, the People's Committee of Ca Mau province held a ceremony to summarize and present the Phan Ngoc Hien Literature and Art Award of Ca Mau province to 14 outstanding and exemplary works for the fifth time (2021 - 2025). Mr. Pham Van Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; and Mr. Ngo Vu Thang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, attended the ceremony.

The Phan Ngoc Hien Literature and Arts Award of Ca Mau province (the award) is a major award of the province, organized every five years. This is the 5th time Ca Mau province has organized the awarding ceremony, aiming to commend, honor, and promote cultural and artistic values.

This year's awards featured 80 works by 53 authors from within and outside the province, across 9 disciplines. After evaluation, the Award Selection Committee reviewed and submitted to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for recognition 14 outstanding works by authors and groups of authors in the following disciplines: Music (3 works); Film (2 works); Fine Arts (3 works); Photography (2 works); Theater (2 works); Literature (1 work); and Folk Arts (1 work).

These are outstanding works of artistic value, with a wide and lasting impact on social life, making a positive contribution to the development of literature and art in the province.

Speaking at the awards ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Vu Thang praised and congratulated the authors and groups of authors whose works were awarded this prestigious Literature and Art Prize.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Vu Thang emphasized: In the context of Ca Mau province after the merger, the number of artists and writers is larger, the creative space is wider, and the province's life is undergoing strong transformations. This is a source of inspiration for artists and writers; at the same time, there is a need for innovation in thinking, perspective, and methods of conveying messages about truth, goodness, and beauty in modern life.

To ensure that the next Phan Ngoc Hien Literature and Art Award of Ca Mau province will have more outstanding works winning the prize, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Vu Thang requested relevant departments and units to urgently review, advise, and propose specific mechanisms and policies to promptly encourage artists to invest in creating high-quality literary and artistic works that are suitable to the practical situation of the province after the merger and the development trends of literature and art in the new period.
