The event carries the message "One billion steps into the new era", commemorating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) and the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Tradition Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025). In Quang Ngai, 3,500 people attended at the Pham Van Dong Square bridge, Cam Thanh ward. 9,500 people responded in 96 communes, wards and special zones.
Since July 26, the program has been launched nationwide. The launching ceremony this morning in Quang Ngai opened with the image of thousands of people wearing red shirts with yellow stars, along with officers and soldiers heading to the historic Ba Dinh Square, watching the flag-raising ceremony and singing the National Anthem. This is a vivid demonstration of patriotism and community cohesion. At the same time, it affirms the role of the People's Public Security force in ensuring security and order, sustainable social development and building a movement for the entire people to protect national security.
The event is considered an unprecedented large-scale community activity, with profound political and social significance, taking place at a time when the country is entering a new stage of development and reorganizing administrative units. And it is a journey of sports to improve health, connecting millions of hearts from urban, rural to mountainous, remote areas, together towards the goal of building a united, strong and sustainable Vietnam.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, together with the whole country, officers, soldiers and people at the main bridge walked 2 km through the central roads of Quang Ngai province. Each step recorded on the digital platform is a “green step”, contributing to reducing carbon emissions, raising awareness of environmental protection and getting closer to the national goal of Net Zero.
