Dr. Ngo Phuong Lan and Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Quang Ninh province Le Quang Ngoc introduced the award ceremony.

Dr. Ngo Phuong Lan, President of the Vietnam Cinema Promotion and Development Association, representing the Organizing Committee, said that since its launch in January, the competition has attracted a large number of film projects from both professional filmmakers and young filmmakers, including many very young authors, at the age of middle school or high school students.

The jury selected 21 projects to participate in the project presentation round. The presentation round was held both in person and online at both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, selecting 9 projects to partially fund the production costs.

The organizers said that the projects participating in the contest are very diverse in genre: from animation to documentaries and feature films. The authors are mostly students, typically students from Van Lang University, Hoa Sen University, University of Theater and Cinema, etc.

Director Charlie Nguyen, a member of the jury, shared that many projects have very good and novel ideas, rich topics, and the authors are very enthusiastic and creative, but only lack storytelling skills.

The jury selected 13 best films for the final round of the competition, including “Deserving” (animation, director Nguyen Huu Nghia), “Green Living” (feature film, Nguyen Thi Xuan Thao), “Roots” (documentary, Mai Dinh Khoi), “The Last Show” (animation, Huynh Dai Hoa and Le Hoang Kim Vy), “Recycle Me” (feature film, Nguyen Quoc Binh), “Meaningful Summer Vacation” (animation, Trinh Lam Tung), “Overcoming Axima” (animation, Nguyen Thi Minh Khue), “Hello, I am a plastic bottle” (feature film, Nguyen Duc Canh), “Green Profession” (documentary, Phan Thanh Tri), “Friendship Through Time” (animation, Meritorious Artist Phung Van Ha), “All in” (feature film, Nguyen Hung Manh Tan), “Building Environmental Awareness” (documentary, Phan Thu Van), “Dimo and the World of Waste” (animation, Phan Thuc Nhi).

The award ceremony is expected to take place in Quang Ninh from August 26 to 28, with many exciting activities, organized by the Vietnam Cinema Promotion and Development Association in coordination with the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province. Dr. Ngo Phuong Lan revealed that there will be many veteran artists who are loved by audiences both in the South and the North, such as People's Artist Lan Huong Bong, People's Artist Nhu Quynh, Meritorious Artist Thanh Quy, artists Truong Giang, Nha Phuong, Thuy Hang (films "Ex-husband, Ex-wife, Ex-lover", "Warm Fire").

The award ceremony program includes many activities such as the exhibition "Quang Ninh - Ideal destination for domestic and international film producers", the film exchange "Coming to Quang Ninh", and many activities to promote Quang Ninh's tourist destinations such as Yen Tu, Ha Long Bay...

In particular, the “Green Screen” contest has quite high prizes, with 100 million VND for First Prize, 60 million VND for Second Prize, 30 million VND for Third Prize (there are two prizes) and Companion Prizes.
