In particular, Mr. Thu and his son (Mieu quarter, Phuoc Tan ward) were electrocuted due to water flooding the electrical system and had to be hospitalized overnight.

Mr. Le Van Dung - Mr. Thu's neighbor (who was wading in the flood water - PV) - is still in shock as he recounts that while the whole family was busy moving things up to avoid the flood, they heard that someone had been electrocuted.

Without hesitation, Mr. Dung and a few others quickly used a boat to take Mr. Thu and his son to Dong Nai General Hospital for emergency treatment.

"At that time, the water was up to our chests, covering the whole neighborhood. Many families tried their best to save their property but it was too late. My house was submerged in water, all my belongings were completely submerged" - Mr. Dung said.

The water level rose more than 1 meter, making it difficult for many families in this area to live. The kitchen was flooded, furniture was severely damaged, and they had to buy boxed lunches to eat.

Faced with the complicated developments of the flood, the police rescue force quickly approached dangerous areas and deployed measures to evacuate people to safety.

Preliminary local statistics show that hundreds of households in Phuoc Tan Ward, Bien Hoa City are submerged in water. More than 3,000 primary and secondary school students have had to stay home from school due to the impact of rising floodwaters.
