In the 2025 high school graduation exam, there were 8 candidates who were valedictorians of block A00, of which the former Thai Binh province, now Hung Yen, had 2 students, Tran Huu Thinh and Nguyen Dieu Linh.
Tran Huu Thinh (12A1 student, Hung Nhan High School) got perfect scores in Math 10, Physics 10, Chemistry 10.
Sharing with VietNamNet reporter, Thinh said that at 8am on July 16, after looking up his exam scores, he was very happy to see that all subjects in block A00 had the maximum score. Thinh immediately informed his mother.
Thinh added that since grade 3, after his father passed away, he was determined to study natural sciences. These subjects made Thinh feel stronger, more coherent in his thinking, and able to become a spiritual support for his mother.
Thinh shared that up until now he has only studied by himself, not taking any extra classes and often looking up documents on the websites of online teachers.
Besides studying at school and studying at home, in his free time Thinh often plays games and listens to music by singer Son Tung MTP.
"After the exam, I guessed my score but was still worried because I was afraid of filling in the wrong boxes in the multiple choice test. When I knew the results, I was overwhelmed with emotion and I am still in a daze. I want to study at Hanoi University of Technology, majoring in Semiconductor Technology," said Tran Huu Thinh, valedictorian of block A00.
Commenting on Thinh’s learning process, Ms. Bui Thi Nguyet, former Principal of Hung Nhan High School, said that Thinh was a special student with a high self-study ability. Thinh was very united with his friends and was a member of the school’s Chemistry team.
"Last June, I changed jobs, but I understand student Tran Huu Thinh better than anyone else when I witnessed him overcome his family's difficulties to strive to improve himself in his studies. At school, Thinh is quiet, always polite to teachers, and gets along well with friends. After school, he also helps his mother with housework," said Ms. Nguyet.
Also the valedictorian of block A00 with 3 perfect scores, Nguyen Dieu Linh (student of class 12A1, Nguyen Trai High School, Hung Yen ) has a disciplined study method. Once sitting at the desk, she always concentrates and does not touch her phone.
Sharing about her studies, Dieu Linh said she joined a study group with like-minded friends to help each other understand the lessons after class.
In addition, Dieu Linh also sought out seniors with good academic performance in previous courses to ask for study materials. During her free time at home, Dieu Linh often practiced with advanced questions and studied other subjects to develop her academic performance evenly.
When stressed, Dieu Linh often listens to Blackpink's music to relax.
"I want to study at Foreign Trade University and am choosing between marketing and economics-related majors. This has always been my dream," Dieu Linh said.
Commenting on her student, Ms. Dao Thi To Hoa, Principal of Nguyen Trai High School, said that Dieu Linh is an extremely passionate student. She is good at all subjects, not just those in block A00.
In addition to studying, Dieu Linh is also very active in extracurricular activities at school. Dieu Linh becoming one of the top students in block A00 is a gift for the teachers who have devoted themselves to teaching at Nguyen Trai High School.
