2 passenger buses collided at night, 2 people died, many people were injured

On the morning of June 18, Phu Yen Provincial Police confirmed that a serious traffic accident had just occurred in the province between two passenger cars on National Highway 1, passing through Hoa An Commune, Phu Hoa District on the night of June 17. As a result, two people died and many others were injured and are being treated at Phu Yen Provincial General Hospital.

Specifically, at around 10:30 p.m. on June 17, on National Highway 1 through Hoa An Commune, Phu Hoa District (Phu Yen), a passenger car with license plate 53S-8001 driven by Mr. Le Hong Quang (45 years old, from Binh Dinh) traveling in the South-North direction collided with a passenger car with license plate 43B-025.05 driven by Mr. Do Tan Quy (46 years old, from Quang Nam ) traveling in the opposite direction.

The accident caused Mr. NNH (35 years old, in Da Nang ), a passenger on bus 43B-025.05, to die and many injured people had to be taken to Phu Yen General Hospital for emergency treatment.

Doctor Tran Anh Dung, Director of Phu Yen Provincial General Hospital, said that upon receiving news of this traffic accident, the hospital activated a "red alert" throughout the hospital to mobilize doctors from various departments to treat the victims.

According to Dr. Dung, Phu Yen General Hospital received 10 people injured from the above traffic accident.

By the morning of June 18, a victim named NTTT (44 years old, from Da Nang) had died. Several other seriously injured cases are being treated at the hospital or will be transferred to a higher level. Currently, some victims are in stable health, and doctors continue to monitor and treat them.

After the accident occurred, the Traffic Police Department of Phu Yen Province Police arrived at the scene to direct traffic, protect the scene and coordinate with Phu Yen Province authorities to investigate and clarify the cause.
