20/63 industrial clusters have environmental impact assessment reports approved

According to information from the Department of Agriculture and Environment, after the merger, Dong Nai province has 63 industrial clusters. Of which, 44 clusters planned for the 2013-2020 period will continue to be planned for the 2021-2030 period and 19 new clusters will be added to the planning for the 2021-2030 period.

To date, 20 industrial clusters have had their environmental impact assessment reports approved. Of these, 10 clusters have completed the construction of wastewater treatment systems, 1 cluster has been put into operation but only 1 enterprise generates mainly domestic wastewater so it has not built a centralized wastewater treatment system, and the remaining 9 clusters have not yet implemented technical infrastructure investment.

Planning many industrial clusters will help the province form production centers in many areas, thereby contributing to increasing budget revenue and creating added value for the economy . Small and medium-sized enterprises have access to production space at reasonable costs, promoting the development of supporting industries; creating jobs and stabilizing the lives of local people; contributing to urbanization, developing infrastructure, transportation, and services in suburban and rural areas; and at the same time reducing pressure on large industrial parks.

In addition, industrial clusters also help to better control land use planning, construction, technical infrastructure and environmental treatment, avoiding spontaneous and fragmented industrial development that causes pollution.
