25 students were trained in English and communication skills about rural tourism services.

(HBĐT) - On October 10, in Tan Lac district, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a training course on English and skills on rural tourism services (OCOP) in 2023 for 25 trainees who are employees of units, individuals, households, cooperatives doing tourism business, cultural and social officials and civil servants of the communes: Quyet Chien, Ngo Luong, Van Son.

Currently, the Rural Tourism Development Program in the New Rural Development is being actively implemented by the province. One of the specific goals of the program by 2025 is to have at least 70% of rural tourism establishment owners trained in tourism management; 80% of rural tourism workers trained and improved in their professional skills and tourist service skills; each tourist destination has at least 1 employee proficient in a foreign language.

Within the framework of the training course scheduled to take place from October 10 to 17, officers and employees of management units, individuals, households, cooperatives doing business and community tourism spots in Tan Lac district will be equipped with knowledge of English, basic skills in communication and behavior in tourism service activities. Thereby improving expertise, professionalism, quality of human resources, contributing to economic restructuring, changing occupations for the workforce at spots with potential for tourism development in the form of community tourism, improving income and living standards for people. The training course also creates conditions for trainees to exchange and share experiences in tourism, and at the same time learn new ways to develop tourism in the locality.
