This is the opening activity in a series of commemorative events organized by Kim Lien ward to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026).

Accordingly, on May 22nd and 24th, 250 comrades including Party Branch Secretaries and Deputy Secretaries; Heads of the Fatherland Front Committees in residential areas; Heads and Deputy Heads of residential groups; veterans in difficult circumstances; and former youth volunteers received health check-ups and consultations to detect diseases early.
This contributes to caring for and improving the quality of life and health of the community. It strengthens community health management, gradually updating and monitoring the health status of individuals in the ward.

According to Tran Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Kim Lien Ward People's Committee, this is a concrete activity to implement Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW dated September 9, 2025, of the Politburo on some breakthrough solutions to strengthen the protection, care, and improvement of people's health. It also fulfills the comprehensive medical support cooperation agreement previously signed between the Kim Lien Ward People's Committee and Bach Mai Hospital.
According to Comrade Tran Hoang, since implementing the two-tiered local government model, Kim Lien ward has always strived to mobilize all resources to organize practical activities to show gratitude to and support policy beneficiary families, veteran association members, and former Youth Volunteers with difficult circumstances. Today's health check-up program is one such deeply humane action.

Through this program, Kim Lien ward hopes that grassroots officials, veteran association members, and former youth volunteers will receive health check-ups and disease screenings, thereby enabling early detection and timely treatment, helping to improve their quality of life, live happily, healthily, and usefully, and continue to be leading figures and shining examples for the younger generation to follow. At the same time, it affirms the long-term commitment of the two units (Bach Mai Hospital and Kim Lien ward) to improving the quality of healthcare and ensuring social welfare for the people in the area.

To ensure the program's success, Comrade Tran Hoang suggested that the Organizing Committee coordinate effectively with Bach Mai Hospital, the Veterans Association, and other departments and organizations of the ward to provide thoughtful reception, manage the event scientifically , understand the thoughts and aspirations of the veterans and comrades, and offer timely advice to contribute to the overall success of the program.
