On the morning of June 26, at Thien Y Hotel ( Thanh Hoa City), Thanh Hoa Provincial Chess Federation and Tiny Warrior Chess Center jointly organized the 2023 Thanh Hoa Provincial Chess - Chinese Chess Club Championship.
The tournament is a useful and meaningful playground for young players across the province this summer.
The tournament had 260 athletes from 20 delegations from districts, towns and cities in the province. The athletes competed in Rapid Chess for individual male and female prizes in chess and Chinese chess in the following age groups: U5, U7, U9, U11 and championship (no age limit).
Comrade Nguyen Duy Tu, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, General Secretary of Thanh Hoa Chess Federation, Head of the Organizing Committee, delivered the opening speech.
The organizing committee has drawn lots and divided the pairs into different categories. The matches of the tournament apply the chess and Chinese chess rules issued by the General Department of Sports and Physical Training - Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The tournament attracts the largest number of athletes in recent years. The clubs participating in the tournament all send their best athletes to participate.
The organizing committee awarded souvenir flags to the participating teams.
The 2023 Thanh Hoa Province Chess - Chinese Chess Club Championship is a useful and meaningful playground, helping players in the province, especially young athletes, have the opportunity to exchange and compete, constantly improving their skills and competition experience. Units have good preparations towards the Phu Dong Sports Festival at all levels and national tournaments.

This is also an opportunity for Thanh Hoa Chess Federation to continuously promote the strong development of chess - Chinese chess movement in the province, contributing to building a healthy long-term intellectual living environment for students participating in Chess - Chinese Chess Clubs in the province.

At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded trophies, medals, certificates, and prizes to outstanding athletes, winning first, second, third, and consolation prizes in the age-group competitions of the tournament. The success of this year's tournament will be the basis for the Thanh Hoa Chess Federation to maintain the organization annually.
