On the morning of August 16, at Lam Son Square, Hac Thanh Ward, Thanh Hoa Province, thousands of delegates, officers, soldiers of the armed forces, civil servants, public employees, youth, students, members of sports clubs and many people from all walks of life in the province took to the streets to walk in the rain to respond to the program "Moving Forward with Vietnam".
This is a program organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper in coordination with the Ministry of Public Security to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025).

The program was broadcast live from Hanoi on the Facebook and YouTube platforms of Nhan Dan Newspaper; the walk was simultaneously responded to in 33 provinces and cities with 3,321 communes, wards and administrative zones nationwide.
In Thanh Hoa, the program "Moving Forward with Vietnam" attracted nearly 32,000 people to wards and communes in the area to participate in walking, contributing to realizing the goal of "1 billion steps into the new era".
Mr. Nguyen Duy Tu, Deputy Director of Thanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that the program and practical walking activities promote the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho"; "Healthy to build and protect the Fatherland", honor patriotism, increase national pride, contribute to realizing the goal of "Strong people - Prosperous country", build walking habits, reduce carbon emissions into the environment.
Tens of thousands of people braved the rain to take part in the program.
Also on this occasion, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police widely organized the "National Day for National Security Protection"; cultural and artistic activities to celebrate the success of the 20th Provincial Police Party Congress; propaganda on drug prevention, ensuring traffic safety, maintaining social security and order; communication about the glorious tradition: 80 years of building and maturing the People's Police force.
According to the organizers, through the series of activities, it contributes to further consolidating the national solidarity bloc; further strengthening the close bond between the People's Public Security soldiers and the people, building a beautiful image of the People's Public Security soldiers in the hearts of the people.
"Moving Forward with Vietnam" is a community event, demonstrating the strength and power of solidarity, towards realizing the national goal of "Strong People - Prosperous Country", Net Zero.
