The Party flag and national flag bloc participated in the parade on April 30th, practicing on Le Duan Street.
On the afternoon of April 24, at a press conference providing information on the socio -economic situation organized by the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee in coordination with the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, representatives of the Department of Culture and Sports announced many important highlights of the parade program taking place on the occasion of the April 30th holiday.

Accordingly, out of 56 parade blocks, Ho Chi Minh City is in charge of 16 blocks, including one block that moves anyone who hears about it: The block honoring Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, Heroes of Labor and typical historical witnesses.
Unlike other blocs that move with steady steps, this bloc will "march with memories, with living history pages, with the breath of an era that has passed but never faded."
Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Armed Forces Heroes... will ride double-decker buses in the parade celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification on the morning of April 30.
This special bloc consists of 350 delegates, who are historical witnesses who have devoted their youth, intelligence and even blood to the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. They will sit on 7 specially designed double-decker buses, with the Liberation flag and the names of provinces and cities across the country on both sides, which are associated with battles, feats and unforgettable milestones in the resistance war against the US to save the country.
Accordingly, the youngest person in this block is 82 years old. They are representatives of the previous generation, those who wrote the triumphant song with their own lives. In their eyes is a whole depth of history, a wordless film about a time when "cutting through Truong Son to save the country, with hearts full of hope for the future".
In particular, to ensure the health of 350 elderly delegates of this bloc, Ho Chi Minh City has arranged thoughtful accommodation, along with a medical team on duty 24/7. During the holiday, each car will have two medical teams and eight union members and youth to support the delegation, ensuring absolute safety and respect.
The convertible used as the honor guard leading the parade of the armed forces was crafted from a prototype of a VinFast VF 9. This is an electric car model in the highest-end E-SUV segment in VinFast's product range.
It is known that at the parade, the honorary car block is the opening formation for the parade, with three cars bearing special symbols: the car with the national emblem, the car carrying the portrait of President Ho Chi Minh and the car symbolizing the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South. Behind each car are delegations representing different classes of people, notably students, union members, and exemplary children - the generation following in the footsteps of their fathers and brothers.
The National Emblem Cars, following the National Emblem Cars, were 54 students of Saigon University in costumes of 54 ethnic groups, forming a united community of Vietnamese ethnic groups. The National Emblem Cars were the first cars to enter the ceremony stage.
Next are 12 mass parade groups led by Ho Chi Minh City, representing the people: Fatherland Front, veterans, former Youth Volunteers, workers, farmers, intellectuals, businessmen, women, children - youth, overseas Vietnamese and the Culture - Sports - Media group.
The car block carried pictures of Uncle Ho.
Among them, the veteran bloc with 120 delegates are those who directly participated in the war, lived under bombs and bullets, faced life and death to contribute to the Great Victory of Spring 1975. After peace, they became a reliable support for the Party and State, a bridge between the government and the people in the process of building and developing the country.
The former Youth Volunteers' Bloc also includes 120 delegates - those who "used bridges and ferries as weapons and rivers as battlefields". They transported ammunition, cleared roads, cared for wounded soldiers, and contributed to the survival of the front line. After the war, they continued to be the pioneer force in rebuilding the country, overcoming the consequences of war, building cities, and protecting the southwestern border.
Representatives of all walks of life participated in the parade.
“We do not just express our gratitude with words. Organizing a special sitting block is to express the most solemn and profound gratitude of today's generation to those who came before. This is an opportunity for the whole country to look back on the past, and from there look to the future with the highest spirit of solidarity and determination,” Mr. Ha Quoc Cuong added.
The largest group in this parade is the Culture - Sports - Media group with 450 delegates. These are artists, artisans, reporters, editors, athletes... representing those who have contributed to preserving and promoting cultural values, promoting the image of the country and people of Vietnam to international friends.
United Nations Women Peacekeepers.
A representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports said that the parade not only demonstrates the strength of the army and people but is also an occasion to honor the soft values of the nation - spirit, culture, knowledge and art. The faces participating in the parade are all "living torches" that inspire and fuel the flame of patriotism and national pride for today's generations. This is also a dialogue between history and the present, between those who wrote the golden pages of history and the next generation.
