4 outstanding research projects received Bao Son Award 2024

The Organizing Committee of Bao Son Award said that the 2024 Award Selection Council has selected 4 outstanding works in 4 fields to award.

The works include:

Research and production project of African swine fever vaccine (Product name: AVAC ASF LIVE) - Field of Livestock and Environmental Protection carried out by Dr. Nguyen Van Diep, AVAC Vietnam Joint Stock Company.

Research project on the application of endoscopic surgery in the treatment of some thyroid diseases - Health Science field, conducted by Labor Hero, People's Physician, Associate Professor, Doctor Tran Ngoc Luong.

The project Research and application of advanced three-phase composite materials and structures in engineering - Field of Engineering Technology was conducted by Professor, Dr. Nguyen Dinh Duc, University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi .

The work History of Ethnic Policy of Vietnamese Communists - Social Sciences and Humanities by Professor, Dr. Furuta Motoo, Vietnam-Japan University, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

According to the organizers, the projects are assessed to have made remarkable advances in research and technology application, bringing practical value and high socio -economic efficiency, contributing to promoting sustainable development and improving the quality of life.

The awards ceremony will take place on the evening of May 11.

Bao Son Award was established in 2010 by Bao Son Education and Training Support Fund, under the auspices of Bao Son Group. This is one of the prestigious and valuable annual awards in Vietnam.

The award aims to seek and honor scientists and inventors of outstanding scientific, technological, technical, literary and artistic works of high scientific and practical value and humanistic value. One of the important criteria of the award is that the work must be effectively applied in practice, making outstanding contributions to the cause of building and defending the country.

Accordingly, the Award is considered and awarded to outstanding scientific research projects and clusters of projects with high applicability in 4 fields: Natural sciences, social sciences and humanities; Technology, engineering; Health sciences; Literature and arts. If necessary, the Chairman of Bao Son Foundation can add additional fields for consideration of the award.

In 2024, each prize will be worth 120,000 USD, accompanied by a gold cup and certificate. According to the long-term plan, the prize value will increase by 10,000 USD each year, aiming for 1 million USD in 2087./.
