500 people received free eye examination and surgery

On the morning of June 4, the Nhan Ai medical team of Ho Chi Minh City, in collaboration with the Binh Thuan Association for the Support of Disabled and Orphans and Binh Thuan General Hospital, organized free eye examinations and surgeries for poor patients in Binh Thuan.

The program has 500 patients in the province screened for eye diseases and about 250 patients have eye surgery. Doctors prescribe eye surgery for cases of artificial lens replacement and pterygium removal.

According to Binh Thuan General Hospital, to ensure the successful organization of eye examinations and surgeries, the hospital mobilizes human resources, prepares facilities and equipment. For example, the Department of Anesthesia and Resuscitation prepares operating rooms, the Department of Ophthalmology monitors and supports the reception of patients after surgery, the Department of Laboratory Medicine supports blood collection, etc.
