On the morning of June 4th, the Ho Chi Minh City Charity Medical Team, in collaboration with the Binh Thuan Association for the Support of Disabled People and Orphans and the Binh Thuan Provincial General Hospital, organized free eye examinations and surgeries for impoverished patients in Binh Thuan.
The program screened 500 patients in the province for eye diseases, and approximately 250 patients underwent eye surgery. Doctors recommended eye surgery for cases involving artificial lens replacement and pterygium removal.
According to Binh Thuan Provincial General Hospital, to ensure the successful organization of eye examinations and surgeries, the hospital mobilized personnel and prepared facilities and equipment. For example, the Anesthesia and Resuscitation Department prepared the operating room, the Ophthalmology Department supervised and assisted in receiving patients after surgery, and the Laboratory Department assisted with blood sampling…
This is a meaningful activity that spreads the spirit of humanity, joining hands to help the poor, contributing to sharing difficulties and bringing hope to many poor and disadvantaged people in the area.
