507 independent candidates participate in the high school graduation exam in Hue 2025

(Dan Tri) - In the 2025 high school graduation exam, Hue city has nearly 14,000 candidates participating in 2 different programs.

Mr. Nguyen Tan, Director of the Departmentof Education and Training of Hue City, said that the locality is urgently completing preparations to ensure the most favorable conditions for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam.

According to Mr. Tan, 13,946 candidates registered for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam in Hue City. Of these, 507 were independent candidates, including 323 candidates taking the exam under the 2006 General Education Program and 184 candidates taking the exam under the 2018 General Education Program.

Hue City has arranged 39 centralized testing sites. Of which, the testing site at Nguyen Tri Phuong Secondary School (Thuan Hoa District) is reserved for candidates taking the 2006 General Education Program with 13 testing rooms (including 1 combined subject testing room).

The remaining 38 exam sites are located at high schools and junior high schools in the area, with a total of 602 exam rooms (28 combined subject rooms), serving candidates taking the exam according to the 2018 General Education Program.

Mr. Tan added that up to now, Hue city has completed the establishment of committees under the Examination Council according to regulations. The locality has organized professional training conferences and mobilized 1,778 officers to work as invigilators and 245 examiners.

The exam will be held in parallel with the two general education programs of 2006 (4 exam sessions) and 2018 (3 exam sessions). Each program will have its own separate exam questions, and the organization process will also be different from the stages of printing exam questions, arranging exam rooms, invigilation, grading, to high school graduation, complying with two separate regulations and guidance documents.

This is also the first time that exam papers have been transferred from the test-making site to the printing and copying points via an encrypted and secure transmission system. The exam takes place in a context where local governments still operate under a three-tier model, but the grading will be carried out when the whole country has switched to a two-tier local government model.

The Department of Education and Training of Hue City has implemented review support activities at high schools in the area. The teachers participating in teaching support are all experienced and highly qualified.
