During the peak month alone, the province's functional forces discovered, arrested, and handled 380 cases of smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods, with the value of infringing goods being VND8.8 billion.
At the conference, members of the Provincial Steering Committee 389 assessed that although the results of fighting smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods have changed a lot, they are not really stable, the situation of smuggled goods and goods with fake origin is still complicated. However, due to the complex nature of the province's land and sea borders, the risk of smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods in the province is always very high. Therefore, he requested the units to continue to seriously implement the Prime Minister 's instructions, to eliminate smuggling, production, and trading of counterfeit goods, trade fraud, and intellectual property violations, to protect the legitimate rights and interests of honest businesses; to protect security and safety; and to protect the health and lives of the people. At the same time, focus on perfecting the Provincial Steering Committee 389, requiring 54 commune, ward and special zone chairmen to participate in the Provincial Steering Committee 389, ensuring that the Steering Committee operates from July 1, 2025.
