While using your phone, you will probably encounter a situation where Facebook does not display notifications or notifications are delayed. How to fix this problem?
There are many reasons why Facebook does not display notifications, such as unstable Internet connection, phone is on airplane mode (or DND), cache error, outdated application...
1. Forget WiFi network and reconnect
First, go to Settings - WiFi, click on the network name you are connected to and select Forget this network. Then reconnect as usual.

If you are using Android devices, users just need to access Settings - WiFi, click on the arrow icon in the right corner of the network name, then select Forget network, then reconnect.
2. Turn off airplane mode or DND
By default, when you turn on airplane mode or DND (do not disturb) on your phone, Facebook and other apps won't show notifications.
To turn off airplane mode or DND (do not disturb), users just need to swipe down from the top edge of the screen to open Quick Settings, then tap on the airplane icon or Do Not Disturb option.

3. Check Facebook notification permissions
Another reason why you're not getting notifications could be that you haven't granted Facebook the necessary permissions.
To check, go to Settings - Facebook - Notifications - Allow Notifications.

5. Clear Facebook cache
Over time, Facebook's cache can become full or corrupted, causing the app to become unstable or not display notifications.
To clear Facebook cache, go to Settings - Apps - Facebook - Clear cache.
For Apple devices, users just need to go to Settings - iPhone Storage - Facebook - Offload app, then press Reinstall.
