Yamal's controversial statement: Graduation exam is more difficult than playing in the Euro final

That's not a joke, but a "stormy" interview answer from 18-year-old superstar Lamine Yamal when he talked to a Chinese TV station.

Yamal traveled to China just before his 18th birthday on July 13. There, he gave an interview to a TV station, which recently published the full interview with the world's most charismatic teenage superstar.

Many fans burst out laughing when hearing Yamal answer the editor's question - "What is more difficult, graduation exams or playing in the Euro final?"

Yamal replied: "To be honest, playing in the Euro final was easier, because I did it (won) the first time." With this answer, Yamal seemed to share in an interesting way that he had failed the exam.

While attending Euro 2024, Yamal, then 16 years old, even had to bring books and take the Spanish ESO exam online, which is equivalent to graduating from junior high school in Vietnam.

Although he did not share more, Yamal used the answer to humorously share that his study situation was not very bright.

This information does not surprise anyone, because Yamal is having to train and compete far beyond the expectations of a young man who has just reached adulthood.

Just yesterday, Barca officially announced the salary in Yamal's new contract - up to 20 million euros/year, making him the highest-paid player on the team.

However, in this same interview, the football prodigy also emphasized the value of education, saying that he would still pursue his studies even when he was a superstar earning tens of millions of euros.

"When you're young, you have to go to school. My mother always told me that studying was more important than football - and she was right.

Of course, every child wants to play football, it's instinctive. But I soon realized that while football is a short and uncertain career, education is for life.

That's why I always put my studies first. Then I like to play with my friends or teammates. It's a balance that works for me," Yamal added.
