According to the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board, due to the recent flood, there are currently two traffic jams on the La Son - Hoa Lien highway at Km41+400 and Km42+800 through Da Nang.
In addition, at Km50+700, Km50+800 (section through the old Hoa Bac commune, Da Nang ), there was a phenomenon of road surface cracks, about 80m long and 5-10cm wide.
Following Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha's inspection of the landslide remediation work on the La Son - Hoa Lien expressway (section through Da Nang) on October 31, on November 2, a working group of ministries, branches and experts conducted a field inspection of the crack area.

Road Management Area 3 has also just sent an official dispatch to the traffic police of localities including Da Nang, Hue, Quang Ngai and relevant agencies to guide and advise vehicles not to enter Ho Chi Minh road (section through Lo Xo pass) and La Son - Hoa Lien route.
Accordingly, at locations where landslides have caused traffic jams (especially Lo Xo Pass), Road Management Area 3 has directed road maintenance units to make continuous efforts day and night, mobilizing equipment, machinery, and road personnel to handle and fix landslides that cause traffic jams.
By the afternoon of October 31, the Ho Chi Minh Highway through Lo Xo Pass connecting Da Nang - Quang Ngai had opened to one lane of traffic.
However, due to the unfavorable weather conditions, the risk of landslides and rock slides at single-lane open sites and new locations is still very high. The risk of flash floods and water erosion of the roadbed and surface could cause traffic congestion again.
In addition, at night there is dense fog and dangerous winding terrain, posing potential traffic safety risks on the route.

For the La Son - Hoa Lien route, many landslides caused traffic jams, the roadbed and surface at Km50+750 were cracked and sunk. Currently, the route has been barricaded at the Hoa Lien intersection (Da Nang), temporarily banning vehicles traveling from the South to the North through this section.
Road Management Area 3 requests that local Traffic Police Departments direct traffic police forces to coordinate, guide, and remind drivers not to enter the above-mentioned routes.
