On the afternoon of July 23, the Provincial People's Committee held an online conference to review the work of ensuring traffic order and safety in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2024. Comrade Le Hong Vinh, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Standing Member of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee chaired.

In the first 6 months of 2024, with the drastic direction of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee, along with the active participation of Departments, branches and localities, the work of ensuring traffic order and safety has achieved many positive results, traffic accidents continue to be deeply reduced in all three criteria.

However, in the area, there were still 207 traffic accidents that killed 115 people, injured 132 people and 3 localities with high traffic accidents on all three criteria: Tuong Duong, Yen Thanh and Hoang Mai town. After the districts, cities and provincial departments participated in the discussion, clarified the causes and solutions for implementation.

Concluding the conference, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh assigned the sectors and districts to continue effectively implementing the "Traffic Safety Year 2024" in the last 6 months of the year. Focus on clearing violations and preventing re-encroachment of road and railway traffic safety corridors in Nghe An province in the period of 2022-2025, not allowing new encroachments to occur without detection or detected but not handled.
