Waterfall crossing in Da Lat, diving in Nha Trang or rock climbing in Lang Son are adventurous experiences that British magazines suggest tourists should try when coming to Vietnam.
7 adventurous destinations in Vietnam were introduced by British magazine Wanderlust on April 9. According to the magazine, Vietnam still has many experiences that are enough to make your heart beat faster or at least make you step out of your comfort zone.
Explore caves in Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park, Quang Binh
Quang Binh is known as the "cave kingdom" of Vietnam with tens of thousands of large and small caves. The most prominent is Son Doong Cave, a natural wonder with the world's largest cave dome, discovered in 2009. The Phong Nha cave system stretches nearly 45 km, including dry cave branches, water caves, multi-shaped stalactites and underground rivers.
Visitors can choose simple boat tours or multi-day adventure trips that include mountain climbing, cave swimming, and sleeping in the cave. In addition, Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park is also home to more than 150 species of animals and 300 species of birds, some of which were just discovered in 2024.

Trekking to see terraced fields in Sapa, Lao Cai
Sapa is a prominent trekking destination in the Northwest region, with its wild landscape. Some of the prominent destinations here include Fansipan peak, Muong Hoa valley, terraced fields and villages of the H'Mong, Dao, Tay people distributed around the mountainside. Visitors can choose to take a short half-day walk or trek for many days through villages such as Lao Chai - Ta Van - Ban Ho.
If you are not strong enough to climb Fansipan by road, visitors can experience the cable car to admire the scenery from a height of more than 3,100 m.

Scuba diving to see coral in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa
Vietnam has a rich marine ecosystem with many coral diving spots stretching from north to south. Among them, Nha Trang is considered an ideal destination for scuba diving thanks to its favorable natural conditions and developed tourism infrastructure. Hon Mun Marine Reserve is famous for its colorful corals and tropical marine life, suitable for beginners.

Dalat is not only famous for its cool air, but also for its gentle adventure sports such as canyoning with a safety rope at Datanla waterfall. Visitors will learn rope swinging techniques, climbing down wet cliffs, swimming through cold streams and water sliding.
In addition to canyoning, Da Lat also offers cycling tours through pine forests, kayaking at Tuyen Lam Lake, climbing Langbiang Peak or camping by the stream.

Rock climbing in Huu Lung, Lang Son
Nestled among the limestone valleys of the north, Yen Thinh (Huu Lung) is a new destination for the international climbing community. There are more than 180 exploited climbing routes with many levels, from easy to advanced, including vertical climbing, three-dimensional climbing, and cave climbing.
Although there are not many climbing services and accommodations in the area, this place still attracts experts thanks to the safe steel anchor system. Visitors should bring an 80m rope and at least 16 climbing carabiners.
