AFF Cup 2024 has a new name

The Thai team is the current AFF Cup champion.

The 2024 ASEAN Men's Football Championship will have a new name: ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup, replacing the previous name AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup. According to the plan, the 2024 ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup will be held from November 23 to December 21, 2024 with a home-away format.

Meanwhile, the AFF Women's Championship will also be renamed the ASEAN Women's Championship. Notably, the tournament will have adjustments to the competition format when the AFF decides to organize the qualifying round and the final round. Detailed information on the competition format of the ASEAN Women's Championship 2025 will be updated by the AFF.

At the club level, the 2024-2025 ASEAN Club Championship will be held for the first time in a home-away format. The qualifying rounds of the tournament are scheduled to take place on July 17 and July 24, 2024. The group stage will take place from August 2024 to February 2025. The semi-finals will be held in April 2025 and the final will be held on May 21, 2025.
